Are We Looking For Christ Or Listening?
Revelation 1:7 heralds the triumphant return of the Lamb.
“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”
Are you ready for the triumphant return of Jesus Christ? We should expect Jesus to come at any time, and therefore our lives should be lived differently. Every child of God should be living, not as if Jesus Christ were returning far in the future, but as if He were coming today.
We should be living as though Jesus died yesterday, rose this morning, and is coming back this afternoon. May none of us ever forget Calvary. We will see Christ, not as He was, but as He is with the veil removed in all His glory. It will be a day of shame and judgment for those who have slandered, abused, and ignored Jesus Christ.
With all the different books I have read, I have learned that they are all written with just letters. In Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and Omega”
–it says He is the first and last, He is the A to Z and everything in between. When you have said, “Jesus”, you have said it all.
We have a vision here at Bethany MBC. This vision is for the lost to be saved and lives to be changed, and Jesus the Christ is the only one who can change us. We love the Lord here at Bethany MBC, and we love you too. As pastor, I will preach the whole council of God and will preach God's Word with boldness and love. Where there is no vision the people will perish!
